Autumn Story/Craft Time Combo

My clever and crafty friend paired this book:

with "Foliage Friends," a leaf craft at FamilyFun.com, for a delightful story time this past week.

All you need are paper or construction paper, leaves, glue, and crayons or markers. Do not be deterred when you see that the time required listing is 2-3 hours. As long as you already have the leaves, you can spend as much or as little time as you need. For 2 moms assisting 6 little ones, it took us all of about 15 minutes to create Pre-K masterpieces. Your first or second grader might want to spend a little more time on his or her chef d'oevre, however.

I'd show you my little one's project, but it's been loved past the point of presentation.
