Kitchen Grease Disposal

Yes, I know WFMW is on hiatus, but I'm sort of in the habit of tipping on Wednesday. I am not sure how to categorize this tip. I guess it's a kitchen help. When I'm browning ground beef or any other greasy item, I always drain off the grease. It's pretty yucky, and it's too hot and messy to throw away immediately. To make cleanup a little easier, I put a few cubes of ice in with the drained liquid. By the time I'm done cooking the meal, the grease has solidified and I can just throw it into the regular trash.
